North Texas SC Draws 2-2 with Union Omaha

Arlington, TX (Sept. 19, 2021) - North Texas SC shares the points with Union Omaha in a 2-2 draw at Choctaw Stadium on Sunday night.  

Game Summary

First Half:

• 11’ – (GOAL, OMA) Damia Viader dribbled past three defenders before he unleashed a powerful right-footed shot that ended in the top left corner to give Omaha an early 1-0 lead.
• 18 – (GOAL, NTX) Kalil Elmedkhar’s shot from a difficult angle was able to get past Rashid Nuhu and level the match up for North Texas SC, following a chipped pass from Blaine Ferri. 
• 23’ – (SHOT, NTX) Ferri’s left-footed shot attempt from long range went over the Omaha goal. 
• 32’ – (SHOT, NTX) Gibran Rayo was able to get past his defender and attempted a low driven shot towards goal, but it bounced off the post and out for a goal kick. 

Second Half:

• 53’ – (GOAL, NTX) Elmedkhar’s through ball fell to Freddy Vargas who calmly slotted it past Nuhu to give North Texas the 2-1 lead. 
• 77’ – (SAVE, NTX) Omaha’s Evan Conway had his headed attempt inside the box saved by Colin Shutler.
• 82’ – (GOAL, OMA) Conway received a pass from Viader, and was able to poke it through Shutler’s legs to tie the match up at 2-2
