FRISCO, Texas (Sept. 7, 2026) – Forward Petar Musa has been named to the MLSsoccer.com Team of the Matchday, presented by Audi, for Matchday 24. It is the fifth Team of the Matchday Starting XI selection of the season for the Croatian forward.
Musa leads the MLS Golden Boot race presented by Audi alongside Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi following his brace on Saturday night. Musa’s brace in the 4-3 comeback win over Sporting Kansas City was his fifth multi-goal game of the season. With his two goals on Saturday night, Musa is now one goal away from tying Jesús Ferreira's 53 regular-season goals for second place in club history, and two multi-goal games from tying Jason Kreis’ 10 multi-goal games club record. Musa became the first player in club history to score 18 or more goals in consecutive seasons.
