FRISCO, Texas (August 14, 2020) – FC Dallas has signed Colombian midfielder Andrés Ricaurte on loan from Independiente Medellín using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM). Ricaurte will occupy an international slot and will be added to the roster pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P1 Visa.
FC Dallas has the option to exercise a permanent transfer on Ricaurte’s contract in December 2021 following the duration of the loan.
Ricaurte, 28, joins FC Dallas after spending two years with Colombian first-division club Independiente Medellín, playing 98 games, scoring 12 goals and registering 23 assists. Generally an attacking midfielder, Ricaurte has also played for fellow Colombian sides Rionegro Águilas, CD Atlético Huila and Leones FC.
