BEST OF 2017: Social Media Posts

1220 best of social DL

As 2017 comes to a close, we look back at the some of the favorite social media posts of the year, as chosen by you, the fans.

It should come as no surprise that one of our most popular pieces of content came at the beginning of the year when our Frisco neighbors were prepping for their playoff run. While it didn't end the way fans wanted, Kellyn Acostaand Victor Ulloa repped the hometown team (and Vic did his best Zeke impression).

We were heartbroken to learn about Ryan Hollingshead's horrific accident when he provided assistance to another stranded vehicle on icy road conditions. But fans let him know they were rallying behind him.

Cocktails and Cleats is one of our favorite events of the year, and this year's was no exception. And the caption on this photo perfectly captured the moment.

As we get ready to compete in CONCACAF Champions League in February, we can't help but remember this amazing moment from March when Kellyn Acosta scored in the 58' and FC Dallas took the lead over Pachuca in leg one of the semifinal round.

Speaking of CONCACAF Champions League, we can't forget the moment when Homegrown Paxton Pomykal made his pro debut.

The National Soccer Hall of Fame has come a long wa†y in the last few months and even announced dates for opening weekend. Seems the fans are just as excited as we are, because the renderings for the completed Hall of Fame and Experience Center remains one of our most popular Facebook posts of the year.

The June 3 match against Real Salt Lake was one for the history books. A hat trick, second-youngest MLS player to score a goal, and a 6-2 victory. Plus, our friend and FC Dallas fan was on hand to scarf the Lamar Hunt statue

Jesus Ferreira's debut will forever be remembered as one of the most exciting moments in FC Dallas history. Second-youngest player to score a goal in MLS history, oh and it happened to be on the night when he made his professional debut.

And last, but certainly not least, the long awaited return of Mauro Diaz after rehabbing a season-ending achilles injury in 2016. A fan brought fans to their feet and chanting his name.
