FRISCO - He may only be 21 years old, but Kellyn Acosta is quickly becoming a fixture with the United States Men's National Team.

The midfielder made not only his sixth-straight appearance for the U.S., but also his CONCACAF Gold Cup debut, on Saturday afternoon in Nashville, Tennessee. Acosta started for the U.S. in its Group B opener against Panama, a match that finished 1-1 in front of over 47,000 fans.

Acosta went the distance for the U.S., playing all 90 minutes plus stoppage time as he picked up his 10th cap for his country.

The Plano native had a 91 percent pass accuracy during the match and was credited with three shots. He was on set-piece duty for Head Coach Bruce Arena, taking all five U.S. corners during the game.

While the U.S. won't be coming to Frisco, fans can still see Honduran defender Maynor Figueroa when the Gold Cup stops at Toyota Stadium for a Group A doubleheader on July 14th.
