FC Dallas acquires winger Fafà Picault from Philadelphia Union in exchange for $300,000 of 2020 General Allocation Money (GAM).

Professional

2017-2019: Scored 21 goals and recorded 12 assists in three seasons for Philadelphia Union. He also scored his first career playoff goal in the 78th minute of the Audi 2019 playoff match against New York Red Bulls on Oct. 20 at Talen Energy Stadium to tie the match, 3-3, and assisted Marco Fabián in extra time to push Philadelphia to the semifinals.

Prior to joining MLS, Picault spent 2015-2017 with 2. Bundesliga team St. Pauli, where he scored four goals and recorded three assists in 22 appearances. He also spent the 2014-2015 season with Czech first-division team AC Sparta Prague but did not make a league appear for the club.

Picault started his professional soccer career with NASL team Tampa Bay Rowdies in 2012 after playing youth soccer with Cagliari in Italy from 2006 to 2011. He appeared in 18 matches for Tampa Bay and helped the team with the NASL championship that season. Picault also played for NASL team Fort Lauderdale Strikers in 2014, scoring five goals and recording two assist in 14 regular season appearances.

National Team

Born to Haitian immigrants, Picault earned a call up to the Haiti National Team in 2014 but did not appear in any matches. Picault has two appearances for the United States Men’s National Team, making his international debut against Puerto Rico on May 22, 2016, playing the final 19 minutes. He last appeared in an international friendly against Colombia on Oct. 11, 2018.
