FRISCO - Mauro Diaz was named to the MLS Team of the Week after his three-assist performance in a 3-2 win against the LA Galaxy.
Diaz is only the second FC Dallas player since 2003 to record three assists in a game. He first found Maxi Urruti in the 28th minute at the top of the box before Urruti drilled one in the bottom corner.
In the 44th minute, Diaz slotted a through ball perfectly to Roland Lamah, and Lamah put it past the keep.
Diaz found Lamah again, this time less than 10 minutes into the second half. Diaz beat two defenders to the outside before floating the ball perfectly to Lamah’s head.
