KEEP THE ATTACK GOING

  • After such an offensive showing against Minnesota United, the lineup is using the same formation against LA Galaxy in hopes of building on the momentum created with the attack focus. This means Jesus Ferreira and Paxton Pomykal with shift up to a more offense focused spot in the midfield, while Bryan Acosta holds down the back to support the defense.

SHUTTING DOWN GALAXY OFFENSE

  • The FC Dallas defense has been consistent in their performance, and chemistry in closing gaps in the backline. We see this lineup take the field with it's veteran talent again against a dominant Galaxy offense. Reggie Cannon, Ryan Hollingshead, Reto Ziegler and Matt Hedges are the line of defense in shutting down the attack, and Jesse Gonzalez serves as the final stop to shutting down the Galaxy's attempts.

SUBSTITUTE DEPTH

  • Although the starting lineup shows a lot of depth and talent, we see a lot of power in the subs as well. Nearly all of the subs listed have played a key role in FC Dallas success when they've gone in, or played throughout the game. Last week Brandon Servania scored two of the goals FC Dallas recorded against Minnesota and sealed their win, we've seen Bressan score, Bryan Reynolds shut down key passes, and many other examples. The depth across the entire lineup, starters, and subs puts FC Dallas in a good position to push the full 90 minutes of the match.
