2021 Season

LINEUP NOTES, pres. by UnitedHealthcare: FC Dallas vs. LA Galaxy | 7.7.21

2021 Lineup Notes DL Dark

FRISCO, Texas - Head coach Luchi Gonzalez makes two changes to his lineup as FC Dallas faces the LA Galaxy tonight, July 7, at 9:30PM. Here's the lineup notes, pres. by UnitedHealthcare.

Edwin Cerrillo
The first change to the lineup is the addition of Edwin Cerrillo in midfield in place of Facundo Quignon who gets s short rest and is available on the bench. Importantly, it's Cerrillo's first start since September of 2019, although he's featured as a substitute five times since then. Expect the 20-year-old Homegrown to play as the deepest central midfielder three with Bryan Acosta and Jesús Ferreira running beyond him.

Ema Twumasi
Midfielder Ema Twumasi also earns his first start of the year (and just his second-ever MLS start, and first since the 2018 season). He'll play at right wing in place of Jáder Obrian who's also available from the bench. Look for Twumasi cut to inside fairly often with right back Justin Che overlapping out wide.

Schön is Back
Winger Szabolcs Schön is back in the matchday squad after competing in Euro 2020 with Hungary. The 20-year-old made three appearances off the bench prior to the Euros and is available once again as a substitute. If Dallas needs extra energy or a goal late in the game, there's a chance we could see another Schön cameo tonight.
