FRISCO - North Texas SC players Imanol Almaguer, Ronaldo Damus and David Rodriguez have been included in USL League One's Team of the Week for their performances in North Texas' 3-1 victory over Forward Madison on Wednesday, May 22 at Toyota Stadium.
Defender Imanol Almaguer had a standout performance against Forward Madison FC which he capped off by scoring his first-ever professional goal with a shot from outside the box in the 70th minute. Almaguer also made two key passes (one that led to David Rodriguez's goal in the 8th minute) as well as completing 44 of his 52 passes throughout the match to earn his first Team of the Week inclusion.
Forward Ronaldo Damus scored his second goal of the season with the opening goal just three minutes into the game against Forward Madison. In addition to his quick goal, Damus made two key passes and took four shots to be included in his first USL League One Team of the Week.
Midfielder David Rodriguez had a night to remember last Wednesday when he also scored his first professional goal assisted by his older brother, Arturo, in the 8th minute. David also completed 28 of 34 passes and won five of his nine duels en route to his first Team of the Week honor.
