FRISCO, TX (Feb. 18, 2022) - FC Dallas unveiled the Crescendo kit today in advance of the 2022 MLS regular season which is scheduled to kick off Saturday, February 26 at Toyota Stadium when Dallas hosts Toronto FC in a match presented by MTX. The jersey features diagonal lines in dynamic patterns across the front chest which represent FC Dallas’ popular hoop patterns from iconic uniforms of years’ past.

The Crescendo kit evokes development and movement. As FC Dallas enters a new era with first-year head coach Nico Estévez, the Crescendo kit symbolizes Dallas’ commitment to building towards the organization’s ultimate goal of winning MLS Cup.

“We’re thrilled to work with Frisco-based MTX Group and have their AI platform, mavQ, on the front of the new FC Dallas home jersey,” said FC Dallas President Dan Hunt. “As you look at the jersey and its design, it is a throwback to the days of the hoops which is such a traditional pattern in soccer uniforms around the world. This is how we're looking at it: reinventing ourselves in this new era that we're bringing to FC Dallas.”

mavQ is now proudly displayed across the front of the Crescendo jersey. MTX Group, who entered a multi-year partnership with FC Dallas in 2021 and served as the team’s front-of-jersey partner for both jerseys last season, launched mavQ as an artificial intelligence company that helps coaches, players and technical staff make informed, data-driven decisions.

“As FC Dallas enters a new era with new head coach Nico Estévez, mavQ is helping us identify the next generation of players,” said FC Dallas Technical Director Andre Zanotta. “From maximizing team formations to evaluating players, mavQ’s ability to collect, store and synthesize data will enable our staff to make more informed decisions regarding all of our teams.”

Other Crescendo Kit design elements include:

  • The LH patch remains at the base of the left hem on the front of the jersey. This symbolic placement honors Lamar Hunt’s legacy as a founding member of not only soccer in DFW through his involvement with the Dallas Tornado and FC Dallas, but also MLS.
  • The jersey’s collar features a red neckband highlighted by a blue hem.
  • AdvoCare will continue to be featured on the jersey’s right sleeve as the club’s official sleeve partner.
  • Major League Soccer’s logo is placed on the left sleeve.
  • The jersey will primarily be paired with blue shorts and socks for the 2022 season.

The Crescendo Kit will be worn for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. FC Dallas will use the Community Kit, which will continue to feature MTX across the front of the jersey, through the 2022 season as its secondary kit.

All North Texas SC jerseys and FC Dallas youth jerseys will display mavQ across the front of the chest while FC Dallas Academy’s away jersey will continue to showcase MTX. All FC Dallas, North Texas SC, FC Dallas Academy and youth home and away jerseys will feature mavQ beginning in 2023.

“I’m glad to see that the hoops are back for the jerseys this season. It’s part of FC Dallas’ history. I also really like that the hoops are red and blue because that’s a new combination that I’ve been wanting to see for a long time.” – Defender Matt Hedges

"The light blue is sick. I've never worn light blue in my entire career. This is completely different. Different from anything I've seen before and I love it." – Defender Eddie Munjoma
