Academy Update Wk 21





FRISCO, Texas –  The FC Dallas Academy U-16 and U-18 teams played Real Colorado on Saturday as part of FC Dallas Academy Day. Every academy team also played and won easily on Sunday and all of them currently sit at the top of their league rankings going into their final games of the regular season. 

FC Dallas U-18s: 1
Real Colorado: 1


The Under-18s began the weekend with a 1-1 draw against Real Colorado on Saturday for Academy Day. Fernando Laverde scored the equalizing goal to save a point for FCD.


FC Dallas U-18s: 6
Colorado Rush: 3


The U-18s were back in action on Sunday with a 6-3 win over the Colorado Rush that clinched their fourth-straight division championship. Yannick Koffi led the scorers with three goals, followed by Kellyn Acosta with two. Yomeri Reyes also scored in the victory. 


The U-18s head into their last game of the season on June 1 against Texas Derby rival Houston Dynamo with a four point lead over Solar Chelsea SC in the league standings.   


FC Dallas U-16s: 3
Real Colorado: 0


The FCD U-16s also participated in Academy Day on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Real Colorado. Aaron Meyer, Cesar Murillo, and Alex Radilla scored for the team.

Colorado Rush: 0


In the second match of the weekend, the U-16s picked up another 3-0 win, this time over the Colorado Rush. Nicholas Zaldana started off the scoring for the team with Coy Craft adding a pair of goals. 


The two wins guaranteed the U16s a first division title since 2010 as they lead by four points with just a game to play. .  


FC Dallas U-15s: 4
San Antonio Classics: 0


The FCD U-15s bounced back from a loss last weekend with a 4-0 win over the San Antonio Classics. Philip Ponder, Daniel Kiser, Alex Lim, and Weston McKennie delivered goals for the team. 


FC Dallas U-15s: 4
Andromeda: 1


The FCD U-15s followed up Saturdays win with a 4-1 win over Andromeda on Sunday. Weston Mckennie once again contributed a goal, while Alex Lim scored twice and Irvin Dominquez's goal rounded out the scoring.


The FCD U-15s enter their game against Lonestar SC on Saturday with a three point lead over the Houston Dynamo in the standings needing a win or draw to clinch the division.


FC Dallas U-14s: 2
Andromeda: 0


The FCD U-14s topped Andromeda 2-0 on Sunday with goals from Alex Zendejas and Eddie Munjoma.


The U14s have one game left in the season needing either a Solar loss or a win of their own to top the division. 


FC Dallas U-13s: 5
Andromeda: 1


The U-13s cruised past Andromeda 5-1 on Sunday. Andy Contreras found the net twice with Julian Jaquez, Javi Barajas, and Robert Suarez also scoring. The team has clinched their division heading into their final game next weekend.
