FRISCO, Texas -- All 13 FC Dallas teams participating in Dallas Cup played their final group stage matches yesterday, posting a collective record of 4-6-3. Three teams were able to advance beyond the group stage and into the knockout rounds of the tournament.


In the U-19 age group, the 95 Boys Premier team suffered a third straight shutout in Bracket C as they lost to Alianza de Futbol of Southern California, 3-0.


The 96 Boys Premier team was shutout for the second straight time in their final match in Bracket A of the U-17 age group. They fell to Illinois' Grand FC Mustangs, 1-0. The U-16 Academy team, on the other hand, posted its third straight shutout in Bracket E as they beat Missouri's St. Louis Scott Gallagher SC Elite 1-0. Ethan Sonis scored the 25-yard game-winning golazo in the 82nd minute of that match. The U-16s will now face Southern Califoria's FRAM in a quarterfinal matchup on Friday afternoon.


At the U-16 level, FC Dallas El Paso also advanced to the knockout round out of Bracket D despite losing its final group stage match to Canada's Longueuil AAA, 2-1. The team will play its quarterfinal match against CF Monterrey Rayados of Mexico Friday morning.


In Bracket E, the 97 Boys Central team tied Virginian side Team America, 1-1, thanks to a goal by Leonardo Luvizetto five minutes from regulation. The U-15 Pre Academy team posted a third straight draw in Bracket F, tying New York's Manhattan PSG, 2-2, on goals by Bernie Zuazua and Irvin Dominguez. And in Bracket G, the 97 Boys Blue team dropped a 1-0 result to Soccers FC Chicago.


All three FC Dallas teams earned wins in the U-15 age group, but unfortunately it wasn't enough for those teams to advance from the group stage. FC Dallas El Paso beat Virginia's Arlington Impact, 3-2, in Bracket A. The 98 Boys Premier team topped Virginia's BFC Barca Elite in Bracket D, 2-0, on goals by Sebastian Venegas and Austin Day.


And in Bracket E, the U-14 Pre Academy team shut out New York's Brooklyn Italians, 6-0. Malik Key, Andrew Hernandez, Jordan Kingsakongtong and Daniel Kiser scored a goal each and Christian Nunez had a brace in the match.


In the U-14 age group, FC Dallas El Paso tied their last match in Bracket A with Florida's Boca Juniors 1-1.


The 00 Boys East team was the third FC Dallas team to make it to the knockout round. They advanced out of Bracket B of the U-13 age group despite losing their final group stage match to FC Golden State Gold, 4-3. Abelardo Escalante scored a brace in that match and Miguel Rosales scored the third goal in the effort. They're first knockout game will be on Thursday, March 28 against FC Golden State's Academy team.


And in Bracket C, the 00 Boys Premier team lost their final group stage match to the FC Golden State Academy team by a score of 3-0.
