FRISCO - With the Generation adidas Cup underway, it's time to kick off the second competition of Tournament Week, the 38th edition of the Dr Depper Dallas Cup.
Five FC Dallas Academy teams, 16 FC Dallas Youth teams and five FC Dallas Affiliate teams will begin their play on Sunday, with the U-18 Academy side kicking off a marquee match-up at 12:30 p.m. at the Cotton Bowl against the reigning champions, Everton, in the Gordan Jago Super Group. FC Dallas first teamers Reggie Cannon, Jesus Ferreira and Paxton Pomykalare all expected to be in the FCD U-18 lineup on Sunday.
Each team will play three games in four days through Wednesday, before the Quarterfinal round of each age group begins on Thursday, followed by the Semifinals on Friday and a sextuple header of Finals at Toyota Stadium on Saturday for all age groups but the Super Group. The most prestigious group will play their Semifinal round on Friday night and Final on Sunday night, both in the stadium. As is custom, all the FC Dallas Academy teams will be playing up an age group in the tournament.
