FRISCO, Texas — Honduras had a chance to play spoiler Tuesday night against El Salvador, which was looking to reach the knockout rounds of the Concacaf Gold Cup. For El Salvador, the task was simple — win, and advance.

FC Dallas midfielder Bryan Acosta helped Honduras end El Salvador's Gold Cup run with a 4-0 drubbing. Acosta scored Honduras' third goal of the match after receiving a long ball from former FCD defender Maynor Figueroa. Acosta settled the ball off his chest, letting it trickle past the El Salvador defender as he spun to his right. Acosta then located the ball, hit it on the outside of his right foot, chipping it under the keeper's left arm and into the back of the net.
