3.9 Academy Recap

FRISCO, Texas- The Boys Academy had multiple teams with a busy weekend having two matches this past weekend against Colorado opponents. The Girls Academy had a week off from regular season play and will return to play the weekend of the 21st. 

ACADEMY: Results and Recap from the Weekend of March 7th  -

BOYS ACADEMY: 


  • U-19s: The Boys returned to action with a strong match against the Colorado Rapids winning 3-1. Malik Henry-Scott opened up scoring in the first half, while Andres Dicun and Beni Redzic sealed the victory in the second half. They drew 1-1 against Real Colorado with the goal coming from Cesar Garcia on a PK. 
  • U-17s: Continuing to struggle to find a consistent rhythm the boys finished the weekend 0-1-1. They fell to Colorado Rapids 1-2, and drew against Real Colorado 1-1. Goals came from Collin Smith and Eduardo Ruiz
  • U-15s: With a majority of their roster at National team call-ups, the U-15s saw success with a lot of their team playing up. They finished the weekend with a win and a draw. They drew against Colorado Rapids 2-2, and won against Real Colorado 3-2. Goals came from Jordan Jones, Jared Aguilar,Tarik Scott, Mikey Murphy, and Emanuel Radilla

NEXT WEEK: The Boys Academy teams head on the road this week with the U-19s, U-17s and U-15s traveling to Kansas City, MO to face SPORTING Kansas City. The U-14s head South to face Austin FC and the U-13s are off until March 29th. The Girls Academy has another week off of regular season returning to action the weekend of March 21st when they host Sporting Omaha and SPORTING Blue Valley at Toyota Soccer Center. For more information, visit the U.S. Soccer Development Academy website.
