Waldeck signed for North Texas SC on Feb. 14, 2020 after spending four seasons at Stanford and being drafted by FC Dallas in the third round (66th) overall in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft. He won two NCAA National Championships with the Cardinals and was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team and United Soccer Coaches All-Far West Region First Team his senior year. In all, Waldeck made 89 appearances, scoring six goals and adding 22 assists. Waldeck's 2021 contract option was exercised by the club at the conclusion of the 2020 season.
