2019: Started in 22 regular season matches for North Texas Soccer Club, scored three goals in 1,958 minutes. Scored his first professional goal with North Texas SC on June 29 vs. Lansing Ignite in the 57th minute; North Texas SC won 3-1. Scored his second goal of the season in the 14th minute of the 2-0 win against Richmond Kickers on July 13. Scored his third goal of the season in the 35th minute of the 2-0 win against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on August 17. Made his FC Dallas debut in friendly vs. Xolos on July 7. Made the 18-man roster for FC Dallas six times. Was part of the USL League One Final North Texas Soccer Club Starting XI. North Texas beat Greenville Triumph 1-0 on October 19. Led USL League One in clearances with 76, in blocks with 17, and in aerial duel wins with 69. Totaled 21 interceptions and was 9th in the entire USL in passes with 1,432.


Montgomery played four seasons at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. The defender started in 70 matches and scored 11 goals and seven assists for UNC. He was named to the United Soccer Coaches’ First Team All-American and Conference USA Defender of the Year in 2018.
