Viniegra joined North Texas SC from Brazilian second division side Cruzeiro Esporte Clube on a one-year contract with an option for the 2022 season. 

Viniegra played primarily with Cruzeiro’s U-20 team but made his senior professional debut in Brazil’s Série A during the 2018 season. Viniegra holds both Mexican and Brazilian citizenship and represented Brazil at the U-16 level in 2017 before accepting a call-up to Mexico’s U-20 squad in November of 2020.
