Guillen first joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2011, from the club’s academy affiliate in El Paso, Texas. The defender quickly earned a starting spot on the U-18 Academy team that went on to win the 2012 U-18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy National Championship. He was named the 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Defender of the Year following his senior season at Florida Gulf Coast University. The defender was also named to the Atlantic Sun First Team on three occasions.

Guillen is from Chihuahua, Mexico and moved to El Paso when he was 8-years-old… He moved to Frisco when he was 12 to play for the FC Dallas Academy team… He went to Florida Gulf Coast to play soccer in college… Guillen has three older brothers: Joel, Ivan and Adrian… He is a big Barcelona fan… He likes to eat home cooked Mexican food… He likes to travel to El Paso during breaks and Mexico for family gatherings… If he could visit any place in the world, he would love to visit Italy.
