FC Dallas selected Jacori Hayes (1st round, 18th overall) in the MLS SuperDraft on January 13, 2017.
2019: Started in eight MLS matches for FC Dallas in 19 appearances. Recorded two assists in 848 minutes. Recorded his first assist of the season in the 3-1 loss against New York Red Bulls on May 11 at Toyota Stadium. Recorded his second assist of the season in the 2-2 draw vs. San Jose Earthquakes on June 8 at Avaya Stadium. Started and played the full 90 minutes in one Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match. Appeared in his second MLS playoff match on October 19 vs. Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field. Hayes played 30 minutes. Started four games with the North Texas Soccer Club.
2018: Hayes appeared in 16 MLS games (10 starts) and one U.S. Open Cup game. He scored one goal and created one assist across all competitions. Recorded his first MLS career assist in the 1-1 draw on March 24 vs. Portland Timbers. Scored his first MLS career goal in the 1-0 win on April 14 vs. New England Revolution and was named to MLS Team of the Week for Week 7. Led the team with five tackles on April 21 vs. Philadelphia Union and vs. San Jose on Aug. 29.
2017: Logged 505 minutes in FCD preseason trip to Argentina. Made his MLS debut and start against Sporting Kansas City on March 11. Appeared in three regular season games and made the starting 18 in four regular season games, two CONCACAF Champions League and three U.S. Open Cup games. Loaned out to USL’s Tulsa Roughnecks FC in June and appeared in 10 matches and started in eight. Scored his first professional goal in the 3-0 win vs. Phoenix Rising on July 22. Recorded one goal and one assist in 763 minutes played while with Tulsa.
Hayes appeared in 81 matches for Wake Forest University. In four seasons, Hayes scored 15 times and had 15 assists. He was named a NSCAA First Team All-American in 2016. He earned a USSDA Eastern Conference Starting XI nod during his time with the Baltimore Bays in 2011-2012. Hayes was an All-American at Dematha Catholic High School.
