Evans played in 93 matches over four seasons in the FC Dallas Academy, winning a U-16 National Championship in 2016 and the Dallas Cup Super Group title in 2017. The defender was the captain of the U-19 team during his final season in 2017-18. In his freshman year at California Polytechnic State University, the defender started all 16 matches adding a goal and an assist, while earning a spot on the Big West All-Freshman Team.
