WEEK 8 POWER RANKINGS RECAP pres. by Texas Health Ben Hogan Sports Medicine: FC Dallas Still High Despite Loss

FCD VAN PR

FC Dallas suffered a 3-0 loss at Vancouver this weekend, but MLS media still positions them high in their Power Rankings this week.

Despite the defeat, the high number of chances missed by FCD and the fact that the opening goal was an own goal by Maynor Figueroa are two of the arguments media are making in order for Dallas to keep a spot on top of the rankings.

You can read the full Power Rankings below.

MLSSOCCER.COM - 2 (Last Week: 2)

"The Whitecaps managed a 3-0 wipeout of the league leaders this past Saturday at BC Place, pushing Dallas just slightly down the rankings. Still, they sit at the top of the standings with 17 points."

SI.COM - 2 (Last Week: 1)

"FC Dallas took Portland by storm in Wednesday’s shocking win at Providence Park, blitzing the defending champions with three goals in the opening 30 minutes. They followed that with a solid win over Kansas City at home. That they did all this without Mauro Diaz makes it even more impressive."

Soccer America - 4 (Last Week: 2)

"An impressive double of road win against the defending champion and efficient comeback defeat of Sporting Kansas City -- both games without Mauro Diaz -- featured goals in each game by Michael Barrios, whose game is really flying after a sluggish start to the season. Mauro Rosales came off the bench to curl a wonderful free kick for the winning goal against SKC."
