Power Rankings Recap Week 11

FC Dallas recorded two solid wins at Toyota Stadium this week, defeating the Portland Timbers 2-1 on Wednesday and the Seattle Sounders 2-0 on Saturday. The wins at home also snapped their three-game losing streak and helped boost their power rankings, thanks to goals by Ryan Hollingshead and Walker Zimmerman to defeat the Timbers and Mauro Diaz and Michael Barrios to down the Sounders.

MLSSOCCER.COM - 6 (Last week: 7)

"Pulled out of a three-game dip with a pair of pretty convincing wins over conference foes. The Power Rankings Politburo still feels, however, that FC Dallas need to find a target man who can fill the void left by Blas Perez's departure."

SI.COM - 8 (Last week: 11)

"Dallas' Dr. Jekyll & Mr Hyde act continues, as it relates to form at home and form on the road. After three consecutive defeats that all took place away from home, FC Dallas returned to the cozy confines of Toyota Stadium and delivered two solid wins over Portland and Seattle this week."

SI also named Ryan Hollingshead as their defensive player of the week, saying, "Hollingshead put forth two noteworthy performances as Dallas enjoyed a six-point week. The right back scored the equalizer in Wednesday's 2-1 win over Portland, then was active and forward thinking even while helping to shut out Seattle in a 2-0 win on Saturday. All this a week after an injury emergency thrust him into goal late on against Toronto FC."

Soccer America - 3 (Last week: 10)

"Not many teams can snap out of a losing skid as can FCD, which had lost three straight on the road (outscored, 8-0), prior to beating Portland and Seattle at home three days apart. Goals from two of the usual suspects, Mauro Diaz and Michael Barrios, sank the Sounders, yet defenders Ryan Hollingshead and Walker Zimmerman uprooted the TImbers after they'd stunned FCD by scoring in the third minute."

ESPNFC - 5 (Last week: 9)

"The Hoops truly are a different team at home than they are on the road, as evidenced by their six-point week after a three-game losing streak. Next up: back on the road for a game in New England."
