IRVINE, Calif. – FC Dallas center back Walker Hume has been loaned to Orange County SC and is expected to make his USL debut tonight versus Phoenix Rising in Scottsdale, Arizona (8:30 PM CT).

Orange County SC (7-8-8) is currently in 11th place in the USL Western Conference Standings while Phoenix Rising FC (9-7-6) sits just above the playoff line in eighth place.

Hume, 24, has started twice for FC Dallas this season. The 37th overall selection in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, Hume played the full 90 minutes in Chicago on May 25 and in Portland on June 10. He is expected to remain with Orange County for matches against Swope Park Rangers on September 9 and versus San Antonio on September 13.

Hume netted a game-winning goal on a set piece during FCD’s preseason trip to Argentina. The six-foot-five-inch center back made a near post run and slammed home a header served in by 2017 preseason trailist Mauro Rosales.

Born in Dallas, Hume scored 20 goals and added 10 assists as a defender during his collegiate career, which began at NCAA Division II Rollins College. He transferred to the University of North Carolina for his junior and senior seasons. Hume attended Westlake HS in Austin, Texas. He won a Premier Development League Championship with the Austin Aztex in 2013.
