The FC Dallas Foundation has been helping kids in our local communities for decades. By voting YES on Proposition 4, Texas pro sports teams’ foundations will be able to host charitable 50-50 raffles at home games and raise more money to help kids and organizations in our community.
Not only would the FC Dallas Foundation benefit from Prop 4, but other organizations would as well! If passed, 50-50 proceeds from half of FCD’s home games in 2016 would go directly to other local organizations and charities.
WHY IS PROP 4 GOOD FOR OUR COMMUNITY?
- Proposition 4 allows charitable raffles at all home games so the FC Dallas Foundation has more opportunities to raise money that will directly help children and organizations in our community.
- Proposition 4 ensures 50% of the raffle ticket proceeds go to charity and at most 50% to the winner so participants know they’re giving to a good cause.
- Proposition 4 raises charitable funds directly for the team’s foundations – the teams do not benefit.
- Proposition 4 will do all of these things without touching taxpayer or public dollars.
- Currently, 24 other states allow charitable raffles at their pro sporting events.
