U-14s Battle For Advantage, Finish With 1-1 Draw

DALLAS- The U-14s started off the day with a tough matchup against Tigres UANL. The first half was a lot of duels, and a lot of reactive play on both sides of the ball. Diego Hernandez found an opening early to put Dallas up 1-0 and gave them the confidence boost to play through changing field and weather conditions. Tigres came back in the second half to tie the game with the changing conditions supporting their direct approach to pressure.
"The found good solutions through maintaining possession, and ultimately creating goal scoring opportunities." head coach Scott James said. "It's good to see our boys under stressful situations, it led them to tie the game." Even with this result the U-14s are headed to the Semifinals and are ranked first in their group.
U-12s Find Opportunity, Win 2-1

DALLAS- The U-12s started their Dallas Cup week off on a good note with a win 2-1 win over Rayados McAllen. The conditions weren't the most ideal for the match, but the U-12s adjusted as necessary and found success in their technique during the second half. The first half of the game was a battle for possession and neither team could seem to find a patten that worked for them. At the second half the team came out much more composed allowing them to get on the board early in the second half. They kept the excitement up and scored their second goal shortly after. Both Cayne Madhlangove and Santiago Morales waited for the right moments to help the U-12s come out with a win.
"It's a good start but it was very difficult, the other team was a good team." head coach Toto Schmugge said. "We put more effort in, to win this game. It's important we take this effort to the next game." The U-12s play against the Angeles Soccer Elite and Solar McKinney before trying to advance out of the group stage on Saturday.
