Recently, MLS unveiled the Audi MLS Player Index, a new system to track the best players in the league from each week.
As you might expect, three FC Dallas players made the top 20 in the week 1 Audi MLS Player Index.
Mauro Diaz finished at #9 on the list and what a day it was for the Argentine. Diaz finished with five key passes, tied for the second-most in MLS for week one and, of course, logged assists on both FC Dallas goals. Diaz showcased his playmaking ability on the first assist to Fabian Castillo while the second assist showed his hard work off the ball winning it from Fabinho before crossing into Maxi Urruti.

Fabian Castillo came in at #11 this week after scoring the game-winning goal. The dynamic winger picked up right where he left off in 2016, with his dynamic runs down the wings and finishing with a goal before coming off with injury.
Maxi Urruti was the third player on the Audi Player Index coming in at #16 after scoring his first goal in an FC Dallas jersey on Sunday. Urruti was all over the field with three clearances and two fouls drawn as well as his goal that put the game to bed on Sunday.
