FRISCO - After five years in Dallas, it's not easy to pick Tesho Akindele's best moments and biggest goals, but here's a look at our top five:
5. May 9, 2015 - Topping LA
FC Dallas took on the reigning-champion LA Galaxy at home. The visitors took the lead in the first half while FC Dallas struggled to get going. Late in the second half Mauro Diaz set up Blas Pérez to score the equalizer and eight minutes later, with time running out, Diaz found Akindele for the game-winning goal.
4. July 4, 2014 - Fireworks on the Fourth
The Philadelphia Union came to Dallas riding a three-game win streak. Akindele converted a Blas Perez assist early as the club pushed their own winning streak to four games with a win on July 4th.
3. July 4, 2018 - Seal the Comeback
What is it with Akindele and July 4th? We're not mad about it. FC Dallas hosted Atlanta United and the leagues MVP, Josef Martinez, earlier this season in a high-scoring fight to the finish. Dallas was trailing late when Akindele to a the reigns off the bench, scoring back-to-back goals within a three-minute span.
2. September 12, 2015 - 45th Minute Magic
Akindele kicked off Dallas' inaugural meeting with NYCFC in the 45th minute.
1. August 23, 2017 - Texas Derby
When Dallas and the Houston face off, there's never a dull moment. The Dynamo were in enemy territory but it didn't show, scoring the first goal of the game in the opening minute. Akindele responded before the break as the two sides played to a 3-3 draw in Frisco.
