FRISCO – For the first time in 2017, FC Dallas defender Maynor Figueroa was named to the MLS Team of The Week for Week 16.
The Honduran international went 90 minutes in Vancouver on Saturday, taking three shots and intercepting six passes in the defensive zone. Figueroa also cleared out seven balls from inside the 18-yard box.
He helped contain the Whitecaps attack, as FC Dallas did not allow a goal from open play. The lone goal conceded in the 1-1 draw was scored by Cristian Techera off a wonderful free-kick.
