STANDINGS: FC Dallas Falls to Second Place in Western Conference After Draw

FRISCO - After three months at the top of the table, FC Dallas dropped to second place in the Western Conference following a 0-0 draw to Columbus Crew SC. Dallas will look to jump back into first this weekend after its Sunday match in Vancouver.

Sporting KC made the leap into first place after a 5-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes. Gerso Fernandes recorded two goals and two assists in the win. Sporting has now won six of its last seven matches and will head to Philadelphia this weekend.

LAFC remains in third after a 1-1 draw against the New England Revolution. LAFC gave up the game-tying goal to Brandon Bye in the 83rd minute. LAFC will look to keep pace with Sporting KC and FCD when it hosts San Jose on Saturday.


Real Salt Lake separated itself from Portland by a point after it tied Minnesota 1-1. Damir Kreilach scored the lone goal for RSL, it was his third game in a row with a goal, and sixth overall in that span.

Seattle and Portland are tied for fifth in the conference with 44 points. Seattle is coming off of a 2-1 win in Vancouver and has played one less match than Portland. It was the Sounders ninth win a row, the longest streak in a single season since 1999.


Seattle has two matches this week, a home game against Philadelphia on Wednesday and a Sunday road match against the Galaxy.
