Dallas' four-point lead dropped to one point after a loss and an LAFC win. Dallas dropped a road match 1-0 to D.C. United after giving up the game-winning goal in the 86th minute. Dallas will host Sporting Kansas City on Saturday in the team's last home game of the season.

LAFC fell behind 1-0 to the Houston Dynamo before scoring four unanswered goals, defeating the Dynamo 4-2. The win puts LAFC three points ahead of Sporting KC for the second seed in the conference and a first-round bye.

Before Sporting plays FC Dallas, it will have a midweek game in Vancouver. With six points on the line for Sporting this week, it has the possibility to make a move from third place to first.


Portland leads Seattle by one point for the fourth seed and a home match in the Knockout Round. The Timbers will host Real Salt Lake on Sunday.


Seattle Sounders FC has a two match week. First, it will head to Orlando on Wednesday and face a team who is winless in its last 12 matches. Then it will have a road game in Houston on Sunday. Seattle defeated the Dynamo 4-1 last week at home.
