Story Lines

Availability Update: Head coach Eric Quill will be without three additional players when Dallas heads to St. Louis this Saturday. Defender Nolan Norris has joined up with the U20 U.S. Men’s National Team for two friendlies in Spain while midfielder Diego Garcia will also be away with the youth USMNT for an Identification Camp. Similarly, forward Louicius Don Deedson will be unavailable while with Haiti’s senior national team. On the positive side, head coach Quill confirmed that both defender Osaze Urhoghide and leading scorer Petar Musa are available for selection having been limited by muscle injuries last time out.

Unbeaten Streak: FC Dallas have quietly strung together their best run of the season. After a demoralizing four-game losing streak, the club picked itself up and has registered two wins, three draws and just one loss in its last six outings. If Dallas can maintain the momentum and turn some of those draws into wins down the stretch, the club could be looking at a playoff spot come Decision Day. But FCD will need to reverse history with a visit to STL’s Energizer Park, a venue where Dallas has never won (in just two attempts).

STL: Dallas visits a St. Louis team on hard times. The club sits in 14th place in the West with just five wins on the year and a league-high 17 defeats. STL has parted ways with both head coach Olof Mellberg and Sporting Director Lutz Pfannenstiel over the course of the season but have so far failed to turn the tide. Led by interim coach David Critchley, the team has suffered three losses on the bounce and has just one victory in its last six. Still, Dallas could have their work cut out for them considering four of STL’s five wins this campaign have come at the lively Energizer Park.
