FC Dallas played their third friendly in as many days on Friday in Argentina, and put up their first multi-goal game of the year in a 3-3 draw with San Lorenzo. Here's what head coach Oscar Pareja had to say after the match:
General thoughts on the game…
I thought it was important that we scored goals. The prior games we were giving priority to the structure, giving priority to the defensive part and starting in a good spot, and we were lacking scoring opportunities. Today we had many and not just that, but we scored too. The other games we had a few, but today was more volume in those opportunities.
On Michael Barrios’ goal and assist performance…
Mikey is good. I’m glad to see him healthy, first. I’m happy to have him scoring goals, it’s important and good for him.

On Maxi’s ability to play in 4-2-3-1 or a 4-4-2…
Maxi can play anywhere with the heart that he has. The generosity and the desire and the intelligence that he has in the game – it just gives him a great tool to go anywhere and he’s working well with Cristian.
On the continued development between Urruti and Cristian Colman…
It’s gelling, but it’s going to take time.
On what areas are improving from game to game…
The repetition will give us more consistency on the movements. Today we were much more clear where we exit the ball from the back. We were more clear about finding people in the middle. We were more clear about creating those options, so I think that sharpness is coming. I can see it more now.
On the performance of the first half group…
I was very proud. They were playing against players that played in the World Cup and starters from the National Teams and these young men came today. It wasn’t a PK – but if it wasn’t called, they didn’t lose the first half.
