Dallas is currently leading the Western Conference with 42 points. They are six points ahead of second-place LAFC.

San Jose on the other hand has the least points in the league, with 13 points in 21 matches. They started out the season with a win, but have only won one of their last 20 MLS matches, and that was on May 12.

Here’s where Dallas and San Jose landed in the latest MLS power rankings roundup.

MLS Soccer

1. Atlanta United FC (no change)
2. New York City FC (no change)
3. Portland Timbers (+1)
4. FC Dallas (+2) - Dallas continued their reign atop the Western Conference with an impressive win at Sporting KC. Hard to imagine Michael Barrios will go on a tear after his hat trick, but it may unlock his scoring touch more the rest of the way.
5. New York Red Bulls (-2)
23. San Jose Earthquakes (no change) - San Jose are at the point that a scoreless draw at home is a solid result. Gotta start somewhere, but their 12-game winless run means they have a lot of questions and very few answers right now.

6. FC Dallas (no change) - The Michael Barrios show hit Kansas City and led FC Dallas to an impressive 3-2 win over Sporting on Saturday. The Colombian's hat trick was his first three goals of the year. The win extended FCD's lead in the West to six points.
23. San Jose Earthquakes (no change) - After a loss to Seattle and a goalless draw with RSL, the Quakes are still in last place in the Western Conference. The good news, if you can call it that, is that Saturday's stalemate with RSL means San Jose is no longer the only team without a shutout in 2018.
