Power Rankings Week 19

FC Dallas got back to winning ways Saturday night against Chicago Fire with a prolific 3-1 win that included a stunning offensive performance by Fabian Castillo,Maxi Urruti and Mauro Diaz. FC Dallas is now 6-2-0 in its last eight games, and that has them near the top of power rankings across the board. Here's a rundown of those rankings:

Soccer America: 1 (last week 1) "One might question if a bunch of starters needed to be rested for a game against lowly Chicago, yet a convincing 3-1 victory after not risking said players on turf seems justification enough. Fabian Castillo notched two assists as FCD ran its home unbeaten streak to 16 games with goals by Max Urruti, Mauro Diaz and sub Mauro Rosales."

MLSSOCCER.COM: 1 (last week 1) "The Power Rankings Politburo put our heads together and decided to give Dallas a mulligan for the 5-0 loss. Over the last five games â€“ and over the last two months â€“ they have the best PPG in MLS..."

ESPNFC: 2 (last week 2) "Oscar Pareja chose to rest a number of key players in Seattle on Thursday and suffered a humiliating 5-0 loss. The weekend win over Chicago helped salvage the week as the first team romped 3-1."

Soccer By Ives: 2 (last week 1) "A shorthanded side took a thumping on Wednesday, but FC Dallas bounced back in a major way with a resounding win on Saturday. Mauro Diaz and Fabian Castillo looked virtually unstoppable, easing a bit of panic after yet another lopsided defeat. It’s an odd trend for FC Dallas, who tends to lose big when they are not on their game."
