POWER RANKINGS: MLS Week Six Roundup

FRISCO - After the draw with Colorado this weekend, FC Dallas (1-0-3, 6 points) still remains the only unbeaten team in the Western Conference. You would absolutely like to see Dallas with more points through four games but any time there is a goose egg in the loss column, that’s a good thing.

FC Dallas hits the road for the first time this season this weekend to take on the New England Revolution (3-1-1, 10 points) who are currently in third place in the Eastern Conference and unbeaten at home (2-0-1). The Revs beat Montreal last Friday 4-0 at Gillette Stadium. You can watch Saturday’s match on TXA21 at 6:30PM CT or listen at FCDallas.com/Radio in English or 1270AM in Spanish.

Here’s where both FC Dallas and the Revs landed in the latest MLS power rankings roundup.

1. New York City FC (no change)
2. Atlanta United FC (no change)
3. New York Red Bulls (+2)
4. Sporting Kansas City (+4)
5. Columbus Crew SC (-2)
8. New England Revolution (+3) - The Revs rolled the momentum from last week's win in Houston into a home romp over the Impact on Friday night. Aided by a red card to Saphir Taider, New England got goals from unlikely sources like defender Andrew Farrell, who scored for the first time in his MLS career, to continue its unbeaten run.
15. FC Dallas (+3) - Oscar Pareja's team is undefeated this season, but it's not the most impressive undefeated record. Three results are draws, including a comeback, single-point showing against Colorado on Saturday. FC Dallas needed 89 minutes to find the goal that salvaged the tie.

4. Columbus Crew SC (+2)
5. New York Red Bulls (no change)
7. FC Dallas (+3) - Cristian Colman's late equalizer showed that he may have a future yet in MLS and with Dallas. One question, though, is whether Dallas should be crowing about an unbeaten start. Technically true, but they've yet to beat a full-strength team this season.
11. New England Revolution (+3) - The big jump up the Power Rankings this week comes from the Revolution. A four-game unbeaten run is mighty nice, but their last two opponents picked up first-half red cards. How will they look in full-strength games moving forward?
