FRISCO - North Texas Soccer Club has acquired Ghanaian forward Richard Danso on a one-season loan from West African Football Academy (WAFA) of the Ghana Premier League, pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation approval.
Danso, 18, made 14 appearances for WAFA, scoring three times. In 2017, Danso helped WAFA reach second place in his debut season—the club’s best ever league finish.
Danso is a Ghanaian youth international having represented his country at the U-17, U-20 and U-23 levels. He helped the Black Stars reach the quarterfinals of the U-17 FIFA World Cup in 2017, scoring two goals in four games along the way.
