Cortes is a former FC Dallas goalkeeper
FRISCO – North Texas Soccer Club has signed former FC Dallas goalkeeper Eduardo “Pollo” Cortes to a one-season contract, pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation approval.

Cortes, 25, played three years at the FC Dallas Academy beginning in 2009 before heading to Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He played four seasons for the Jaguars, making 61 appearances and 354 saves. Cortes also had stints with USL’s St. Louis FC in 2016 and Indy Eleven of the North American Soccer League.
Cortes signed for FC Dallas in 2017 to become the club’s 20th Academy product to sign a professional contract, although he did not make any first team appearances. Cortes trained with North Texas SC in preseason and most recently played for Fort Worth Vaqueros of the National Premier Soccer League.
