FC Dallas goalkeeper coach Drew Keeshan is featured in this article that recounts the journey that brought Keeshan from Tipperary, Ireland to Dallas, Texas. In the article, Keeshan explains in his own words his decision to pursue a career in America over returning to his home country and the uncertainty of surviving a coaching change when Schellas Hyndman was hired in 2008. "I didn’t know him and he didn’t know me so he sat me down and said: ‘You’ve got five months to show me what you’ve got.’"

Saturday, February 18: David Ferreira: 'Feeling the ball again is like being reborn' (Goal.com)

Ferreira saw his first competitive action since suffering a broken ankle last April when he participated in FCD's scrimmage with the U.S. U-23s last week. In an exclusive interview with Goal.com, the playmaker talks about the rejuvenating feeling of playing again and admits that he's already thought about what his first goal celebration of 2012 will be.

Wednesday, February 22: Shea scores, red carded against FC Dallas (Soccer America Daily)

Left winger Brek Shea suited up for country against his own club last week when the U.S. U-23s scrimmaged FC Dallas in preparation for their match against Mexico at FC Dallas Stadium this Wednesday. It was an eventful scrimmage for Shea, who scored the game-winning goal for the U-23s before seeing his second yellow of the match to get ejected well before full time.

Sunday, February 26: Kljestan and Shea added to USMNT roster for match against Italy (USsoccer.com)

After spending the week training with the U.S. U-23s in Frisco, Shea received a last-minute call to join the senior team in Italy for their match against Azzurri. Shea was called in after three players had to withdraw from the squad due to illness and injuries. The late call-up could allow Shea to continue his streak of appearing in every match under Jurgen Klinsmann.
