FRISCO - North Texas drops points for the first time at Toyota Stadium with a scoreless draw against Greenville Triumph SC.
Game Summary
First Half:
- 6’ – David Rodriguez cut through the Triumph backline but Dallas Jaye came out was able to nip the ball off the toes of Rodriguez.
- 9’ – Ronaldo Damus latched onto a long ball but his shot from a tight angle went wide.
- 30’ – Arturo Rodriguez’s in-swinging corner went all the way to the back post and Brecc Evans’ header clipped the outside of the post and went wide.
- 43’ – A cross into the box by Cesar Murillo was headed around and eventually fell to Cristian Colmán whose volley was tipped over by Jaye.
Second Half:
- 50’ – Arturo Rodriguez’s deflected shot fell to David Rodriguez who slipped in Damus, and his goal bound shot which was miraculously deflected wide by the foot of Jaye.
- 56’ – A corner found a wide open Evan Lee, and his second attempt had Carlos Avilez at full stretch to deny him.
- 79’ – A teasing cross was played into the box and Carlos Gomez was able to get a foot on it but couldn’t divert it goalwards.
- 90+ 1’ – A corner was swung in and Bicou Bissainthe managed to get a toe on it but his flick flew over the bar.
- 90+3’ – Arturo Rodriguez worked a one-two with Damus on the edge of the box but Rodriguez got the ball stuck under his feet and penalty shout was waved away.
