9/10 Recap

Dallas readies for U.S. Open Cup Final vs. New England this Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 9 p.m.

FRISCO, Texas (Saturday, Sept. 10) – FC Dallas (15-8-6, 51 points) gave up a goal to Colorado’s Marlon Hairston in the 52nd minute and the Rapids (12-5-10, 46 points) held on to defeat Dallas, 1-0, tonight at Toyota Stadium.

Tesho, who had just returned from a call-up to the Canadian National Team earlier in the week, sparked the FC Dallas offense in the sixth minute of the match. After winning the ball on Dallas’ side of the field, Tesho sprinted 60 yards up field with the ball before passing to Victor Ulloa. The ball cycled through late arriving players before Aubrey David, who was returning from his own international call up to Trinidad and Tobago, slipped a pass inside to Tesho at the top of the area. The forward took a touch to his left before attempting to beat U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard with a low shot to his right side. Fortunately for Colorado, Howard was in good position and made the save to keep the score at 0-0.
