GRUEZO, HEDGES RETURN

After a four-game absence with a lower body strain, Carlos Gruezo returns to the midfield tonight alongside Bryan Acosta in the duo's last match before departing for international duty this summer. Gruezo was available off the bench last week in Vancouver, but did not make an appearance. Matt Hedges also returns to the Starting XI after serving a one-game suspension for his first career red card two weeks ago against LAFC at home.

BACK-LINE ADJUSTMENTS

Hedges will once again dawn the captain's armband with Reto Ziegler unavailable for tonight's match with an adductor strain that also sidelined him last week in Vancouver. In the absence of the two starting center backs, Ryan Hollingshead wore the armband last weekend, and the veteran will continue to showcase his versatility tonight starting at right back with Reggie Cannon on the bench for the first time this season. John Nelson will make his fourth start in the last five games at left back.

ATTACKING TWEAK

With Pablo Aranguiz gone on international duty, Thomas Roberts will get the second start of his young career tonight and his first in the No. 10 role after starting as a left winger on April 6 in Philadelphia. The front three of Dominique Badji, Jesus Ferreira and Michael Barrios remain unchanged from a week ago, while Luchi Gonzalez has Zdenek Ondrasek, Francis Atuahene and Ema Twumasi as attacking options off the bench. It is just the second time in his career that Atuahene has appeared on an MLS 18-man roster (July 28, 2018 at SKC).
