COBRA READY TO STRIKE

We see Zdenek Ondrasek (Cobra) return to the top striker position in the field with Dominique Badji and Michael Barrios on the wings. This trio has seen success in creating goal opportunities with Ondrasek scoring four goals in a matter of three games leading up to the match against the Chicago Fire. Both Badji and Barrios have been key players in the FC Dallas offense both being some of the top leaders in goals and assists throughout the season.

CANNON RETURNS TO VETERAN BACKLINE

One key focus for FC Dallas following the loss in Chicago was defensive transitions. We saw the impact and success of this focus earlier in the week when the team faced the Sounders and held them to a shutout. This will be important in shutting down New York City FC for 90 minutes and limiting key players on the roster. We see Reggie Cannon return to the starting lineup with veterans Ryan Hollingshead, Reto Ziegler, and Matt Hedges who have all shown their veteran talent and skill level consistently throughout the season.

JESUS STAYS IN THE MIDFIELD

Jesus Ferreira continues to stay at the top of the midfield alongside Brandon Servania to fill out the attack. Bryan Acosta sits back further on the field for the defensive support in the midfield as well as a player who can see openings further up the field. Along with a strong starting midfield that we've seen play very cohesively, you have Paxton Pomykal and Jacori Hayes available as substitutes.
