LINEUP NOTES, pres. by UnitedHealthcare: FC Dallas vs. Inter Miami CF | 10.28.20 -

Ferreira Returns to Midfield
For the first time since late August, Jesús Ferreira starts in the midfield as Luchi's prefers an attacking lineup to take on Miami at home. It's the 19-year-old Homegrown's third start in a row after playing on each wing in FCD's previous two games. Ferreira began 2020 as the first-choice attacking midfielder but has since been used more often on the flank. The last time Ferreira lined up as the advanced midfielder, he scored in Dallas' 3-1 victory over Minnesota United and he'll be looking for a repeat performance this time around.

Hedges Back in Defense
After making his return as a substitute on Saturday, defender Matt Hedges is back in Dallas' starting lineup for the first time since suffering a muscle strain against Houston earlier this month. He slots in as the right sided center back to partner Bressan as Reto Ziegler is taking extra precaution since his wife was recently exposed to an individual who tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, Ziegler is unavailable for tonight's match.

Ricaurte Moves Back
Andrés Ricaurte has been nearly ever-present in the Starting XI since joining FCD this summer and tonight is no different. However, his role is slightly changed as he lines up next to Thiago Santos in a more holding midfielder role behind Ferreira. Still, expect Ricaurte to pull the strings from his slightly more defensive spot ahead of Santos and FCD's backline. The more attacking-minded midfield three means Homegrown Tanner Tessmann is among the substitutes.
