Attacking Face

After deploying a 4-4-2 on the road, Pareja will go back to the same formation against the Union, but with Roland Lamah in place of Maxi Urruti. Santiago Mosquera and Michael Barrios will provide the penetrating runs on the flanks you need against a young Philadelphia back line. With Cristian Colman the target striker up front, I expect Roland Lamah to sit deeper underneath him, much like Urruti, and will look to continue his dangerous runs into the box in support. He already has three goals in 2018 from similar looks and we’ll see what he can do in a non-wing role tonight.

Back Six

Off of last week’s clean sheet in New England, the same back four and defensive midfield get the starting nod again. Victor Ulloa earns his second start of the year, while Jacori Hayes gets his sixth. It’s the fifth straight match the back line has started as a unit and Jimmy Maurer continues to hold firmly onto the starting job in goal.

Loaded Bench

With three usual wingers in the starting lineup, Dallas’ bench is stocked full of options, namely Maxi Urruti and Mauro Diaz. Tesho Akindele provides an attacking option as well, Ryan Hollingshead has versatility as an outside back or winger and Carlos Gruezo can help lock things down defensively as he did last week in a sub role. Homegrown Kris Reaves and Kyle Zobeck makes their fourth matchday rosters, both have yet to appear in MLS action.
