FRISCO - The two best teams in MLS over the course of the last three seasons, FC Dallas and the New York Red Bulls will square off in their only meeting of 2017 tonight at Toyota Stadium. Let’s dive into FCD’s lineup as they look to start September off right.

Magic is Back
After missing Dallas’ last three matches with a hamstring injury, Mauro Diaz returns to the starting lineup and will look to spark an attack that has mustered just five goals in their last six matches. In five starts and 10 appearances this season, Diaz has four assists and five shots. FCD will return to their 4-2-3-1 look with the playmaker pulling the strings in the middle.
Next Man Up
With five players gone on international duty, four from the usual the defensive face, Dallas will dress a little bit of a different look against New York. Ryan Hollingshead returns to the left back role while Walker Zimmerman and Atiba Harris anchor the back line in the middle. Victor Ulloa will start once again as a defensive midfielder and Jacori Hayes will make the second MLS start of his career alongside the Homegrown.

Homegrown Battle
Dallas (4,784) and New York (5,222) are the top two teams in Homegrown minutes played this season. Dallas will start Homegrowns Jesse Gonzalez and Victor Ulloa with Academy products Reggie Cannon and Aaron Guillen available off the bench. The Red Bulls feature eight Homegrowns on their first team roster (FCD has 10), with Alex Muyl, Sean Davis and Tyler Adams leading the visitors in Homegrown minutes.
