FRISCO - FC Dallas and the Portland Timbers get set for their first official meeting of 2018 after two preseason matches just five weeks ago. Both sides have some important names on this week's injury report as each gets set for their third league game of the season on Saturday afternoon.

Portland Timbers


OUT: Vytas (right thigh), Roy Miller (Achilles')
QUESTIONABLE: Diego Chara (right foot), Jeff Attinella (right thigh)
INT'L DUTY: David Guzman (Costa Rica), Andy Polo (Peru)


Both Vytas and Roy Miller remain out having missed both of Portland's matches thus far. Diego Chara is listed as questionable, but is making the trip to Dallas and is expected to make his season debut - although it remains to be seen whether in a starting role or off the bench. Jeff Attinella will also make the trip and could make his season debut after the Timbers have allowed six goals through their first two games. 


Portland will also be without David Guzman, who has started in both their matches in 2018, as well as Andy Polo, who started on opening day playing 72 minutes vs. LA. Both are gone on international duty.

OUT: Kellyn Acosta (sports hernia), Jesus Ferreira (sports hernia), Brandon Servania (compartment syndrome)
QUESTIONABLE: Jesse Gonzalez (knee)
INT'L DUTY: Tesho Akindele (Canada)


Jesus Ferreira added his name to the list of those recovering from surgery after core muscle repair surgery on Tuesday. Kellyn Acosta is hitting the five-week mark in his original 6-8 week timeline after sports hernia surgery on Feb. 22 and Brandon Servania remains out after a compartment syndrome procedure last week. 


Jesse Gonzalez is once again questionable for Dallas with a knee injury and Jimmy Maurer appears poised to make his third start of the season against his former New York Cosmos head coach, Giovanni Savarese. 


Tesho Akindele will not be available for Oscar Pareja's side while he is with the Canadian Men's National Team this weekend.
