Girl's Academy U-17s Dominate Their Second Match 4-0 In Hopes of Progressing In Playoffs

FRISCO, Texas- After a strong showing in their first match, the FC Dallas U-17 Women’s team put in a performance for the ages, steamrolling FC Fury’s U-17 4-0.


FC Dallas have scoring potential from every position, and a goal from forward Morganne Eikelbarner in the 14th minute gave them the perfect start to the match. Midfielder Kaitlyn Giametta added a second to put FC Dallas in a commanding position.


The second half started with FC Dallas on the front foot, and their attacking drive was rewarded when Samiah Phiri scored in the 65th minute, effectively putting the U-17s in a healthy lead. FC Dallas had their back to the wind, and added a fourth goal when Marina Vera hit the back of the net.

The U-17 remain on top of their group after back-to-back victories, and a positive result will see them through. In their final game against Penn Fusion Soccer, the U-17 women’s team will be looking to a defense led by Elise Anderson, Brenna Brosam, Cassie Clifton and Jenna Mendoza, who have all started both victories and maintained two clean sheets.


The U-17 Women’s play on Thursday against Penn Fusion Soccer with a chance to top their group and go into the knockout rounds on the line.
