GENERATION ADIDAS: FCD U-16s start with win against Valencia U-17s

FRISCO - The FC Dallas U-16s started their 2016 Generation Adidas tournament participation yesterday with a convincing win. 


The Academy players won 3-1 against Valencia's U-17s in their opening match of the tournament. Midfielder Paxton Pomykal put the U-16s ahead on a penalty in the 50th minute, with forward Jesus Ferreira scoring the 2-0 tapping in a cross from right-back Blake Willis in the 60th. Valencia would pull back on the scoreline with a volley by Ivan Chapela, but FCD would score the final 3-1 on a counter-attack in which Jesus Ferreira put Aldo Quevedo through, with '58' scoring 1-on-1 against the keeper. 

FC Dallas will play their next match in Group 'A' Sunday, March 20 against Toronto FC, and their third match will be Tuesday, March 22 agains the Mexico U-17 National Team.
